The GHCSS Has Concluded
The Global Health Clinical Seminar Series ran from 2007–2012 and was supported through PEPFAR, the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. It was produced by International Training & Education Center on HIV (I-TECH) with funding from Cooperative Agreement U91HA06801 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), in collaboration with CDC.
Jennifer Unger, MD, MPH
Jennifer Unger, MD, MPH received her MD and MPH (Bioethics) from the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University and the University of Washington. She has previously worked in Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua in the area of Reproductive Health. She spent two years in Eastern Washington working with migrant farmworkers. Her research interests include interventions to improve maternal health and decrease maternal mortality especially from sepsis and hemorrhage. She is currently working in Kenya to study the use of mobile phone technology to improve maternal and neonatal health. Jennifer is also an attending physician in the Women’s Clinic at Harborview.
